Our house is beginning to become slightly obsessed with Dancing games on our Wii. They are fun, the whole family can play and they are simple enough to join in!

The latest addition to our collection is Just Dance Disney Party and boy do we love it! There are 25 songs from films and tv shows that I am sure you will know and love!

Legs and Mouse love the dancing games we have had before, but the added bonus of this one is they know the songs too! The videos are great to watch, they are super  bright and colourful!

As you would hope the game is very easy to play! You hold the wii control in your right hand and the follow the dance moves on screen! Legs found it easy to follow and really enjoyed it, wanting ‘just one more song’ over and over! Mouse is only 2 and a half but still enjoyed joining in, she followed the moves as best she could and still scored points!

The best thing is that disney being what it is, most people will know most of the songs! There are classic (e.g. bare necessities from jungle book) in there for Granny and Gramps to join in too!

An awesome game for a birthday party, for Christmas Day, for a weekend…..well for any day! So if you are looking for something for the kids this Christmas for a present or just something for you all to do, we would definite recommend you pick up a copy of Just Dance Disney Party!

We have previously been lucky enough to review Just Dance Kids which we loved, so when asked if we were up to trying out the Just Dance 4, we of course said yes, because Grown ups like to dance too!

Containing over 40 tracks of fab music, this game is fab! The tunes include the Time Warp, Will Smith, Pink and Flo Rida, a real mix, I think oct people could find something they would enjoy! You can use it for a party, night in with the family and even for a bit of healthy exercise just for you!

Although similar to the previous games, it features new songs, game modes and dance moves. The brand new battle mode will show who is the champion out of you and your friends and the just sweat mode gives you a great dance workout!

The game is very easy to set up, and even easier to play and have fun with! Even playing alone you can get a little competitive trying to beat old scores!

Just Dance 4

With a certain celebration coming up (yes the C word), this is a perfect game for the list for Father Christmas. Something that you can use to keep yourself smiling, to have fun with the family, to bring out after a glass of wine with friends and even to assist the healthy lifestyle in the new year!

Brilliant game, Brilliant fun!

Go, Dance and be happy!

Disclaimer: I was sent a copy of this game and a fab personalised tshirt for the purpose of the review, however, my opinions are honest!

On Christmas Day Evening, it went without saying that once the kids were in bed the Wii came out and to get us all in the Wii playing mood we started with a little Dance action with Abba You Can Dance. So Granny, Grampsy, Daddy and Me all chose songs and battled it out to be the Dancing Queen!

Grampsy wasn’t that happy about playing, until he got into his first dance, then he was swinging his hips and putting in some real fight into the competition!

There are 26 Songs to dance along to including the favourites everyone knows ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Mamma Mia’ and ‘Waterloo’. It is easy to play, anyone can join in the fun, you just select your song, hold the remote and do what the dancers on screen do (Or in our case, attempt to copy but do some kind of weird close but not right copying!)!

There are so many ways to play it, alone, with a friend (up to 4 players), through the ABBA story or you can even sing-a-long Karaoke style (you need a microphone for this, which we don’t have…….yet!)!

We had a lot of laughs playing this and we all got into it! It is one of the games you need in you staple collection as you can play with almost anyone! So, if you have a party coming up – say for New Year, or a birthday or a friday night, get this game hooked up and start the dancing fun!!

I was sent the Adventures of Tintin, The Secret of the Unicorn game for the Wii to test and review, much to the delight of my husband and Father-in-law who had recently been to see the film!

It had barely got through the door when Hubby started to unwrap it and load it up, like a child at Christmas!

During the game itself you play as Tintin, the intrepid reporter and hero of the film. The story of the game is pretty much the same as the film, once you have saved Captain Haddock, him, you and snowy battle the baddies whilst on the way collecting golden crabs, all in the hunt for the treasure of the Unicorn!  The actual controls of the game are simple and playing is very addictive.

Hubby has said how awesome it is, even though there are a couple of things he would of changed (the controlling on the map as it was unnecessary and the not being able to skip clips), he has had a lot of fun with this and he has certainly loved being Tintin, he has said that if you are a fan of the film you will definitely be a fan of this! It has kept him entertained for hours on an evening or three (I haven’t had a look in yet!), and I am sure once the Dad and Brother in Law are here, they will be playing too as there is a multiplayer option!

As I speak hubby is in front of the TV, Wii on playing Tintin!

A must buy for any Tintin fan!

After spending over three years, either pregnant, breastfeeding, post pregnancy or eating through the exhaustion I thought it was time to get some of ‘me’ back.  It was a three point plan 1. Start Exercising to loose the last of the baby (ahem chocolate) weight. 2. Sort out my wardrobe, getting rid of anything maternity, baggy or too comfy and 3. Spend some time doing things I enjoy!

I nearly became unstuck at point 1 when I realised I really don’t like exercise!  Thankfully, exercise in the house away from prying eyes with the support of hubby (who loves exercise) isn’t too bad, so I set up a fitness programme on the Wii game ‘The Biggest Loser’

I got stuck in and *shhh* actually found myself enjoying it! There was only one problem I always forgot to sort out a glass of water first, so being a bit cheeky, I asked Swiggies UK (makers of a new water bottle for the 21st Century) if they would like to send me a couple to review and was delighted when they said yes!

So how did we get on…

The Swiggie is a small handsfree water bottle, you simply fill it with water, pop it on your wrist and then it is there for when you need it! I tried it out during one of my exercise routines on the Wii. I have to say it was fantastic to have water on hand (literally) without having to stop the routine, the bottle did drip a little when I was doing exercises laid on the floor, but the packet had come with two extra washers to use in the event of this and that sorted it out!

Next came the turn of hubby, he was going out for a run, so as this is what the Swiggie was originally made for decided to give it a go. He didn’t like the feel of it on the outside of his arm, so wore it on the inside and off he went. He returned later, redder and sweatier with his verdict….It was lightweight and stayed secure, and it was really good to not have to carry a water bottle in hand or pocket. Although it felt a bit funny wearing it, it is probably because of not being used to it rather than it being uncomfortable! The only downside was that it didn’t hold enough water for his run, he would need one on each arm for his longer runs!

They are fab little bottles, perfect for making sure you have water on hand!

My Children love them too, the Monkey (2.5 yr old) is very good at drinking water, juice or milk when we are in the house, but when out of the house it is more difficult to remember to have a drink. He loves the Swiggie – it’s such a novelty – and it makes him drink as he thinks it’s a fun game! The Mouse (10 months) also found she knew just what to do with it too, so cute!

Thumbs up for the Swiggie from us, as a mum I love things which are multi-function and this fits the bill!!
