photo of the weekWe have had a great week this week with two birthdays! The guitar is actually Monkey’s pressie from grandparents but he happily shares with Mouse.  I see a musical future for them both (although I think Mouse will be a drummer!). I love this photo!

Last week I told you that I was heading to Marvellous Memories to use the Kodak Kiosk machine to make some Exciting Memories!

Well this is the first post where I tell you all about it!

So imagine this; it is close to Christmas (well it is you know!) and you remember you have missed a card or you just want to do something a little bit more personal – what do you do? What can you do so close to Christmas? Well you can head towards a Kodak Kiosk!

So how do you do it?

Just grab one of these

  1. A Mermory Card
  2. Your Facebook log in details
  3. Smartphone (IOS or Android) with the Kodak Connect App installed

Yep the Kiosks are that up to date, you can connect to them using your smartphone, no need for wires or anything, you can just connect to the Kiosk using the Wifi Technology (for IOS you are given a login and for Android you can scan the QR Code) and off you go!

Once connected the machine find all your photos for you. You then select Greeting Cards, Make Fold Greetings Card, a theme and then your card design. You can view your photos in albums or just view them all together.

Once you have selected the photos you want to use, you just need to hold the photo and drag onto the slots on the card!

I had a play with different themes, I had a little trouble placing more than one photo on one card design, but not sure if that was my impatience, the new software the kiosks had been updated with or just because that was the kind of day we were having!

You can then add text (which we did to the front and the inside)!

Once you are happy with the design you press done, take you receipt to the counter and that is that! I can’t show you the finished card because that would spoil the surprise for someone, but you can be rest assured that it came out fab!

So, looking for that last minute card? It is ok, there is still time to make your card, it will not take long to upload the picture, place, do you text and get it printed! Fast, Fun and Convenient!

Alternatively, use the Kiosk for a birthday card, a thinking of you card or a ‘i have a new photo of the kids and thought I would show you card’!

Today I am mostly…..

I am feeling rather strange today, very up and down and quite emotional! We are now in the middle of March and I feel the next couple of weeks are going to be hard ones!

Next week we are celebrating two birthdays in the house, Legs will turn three on Wednesday and Mouse 1 on Saturday, so no longer will I be the mummy to a baby – but to two toddlers! Time has gone so quickly!

Don’t get me wrong, it is wonderful to watch them develop into little people, their personalities are amazing and watching them playing shops together this morning, where Mouse had no idea what was going on and was more interested in High Fiving and watching Big Cook, Little Cook over her brother’s shoulder was adorable!

But like any mum I have a pang of ‘my babies are growing up’!

On the 31st of March I will also celebrate my 4th wedding anniversary with my fabby husband, obviously a happy event but this will be shadowed by sadness as just a few days later I am returning to full time work.  I have had a year’s of Maternity Leave, but unfortunately circumstances mean this is having to come to an end and I will be joining the ‘real world’ of workers again!

I am feeling very emotional about this, I am lucky in one sense, I am not having to put them in childcare as Hubby will become a full time stay at home dad, but I feel I am handing over the reins of bringing them up! I won’t be the one the nursery speaks to about Legs, won’t be taking Mouse for her 13 month jabs and I won’t be able to comfort them when they wake from a nap unhappy!

So that’s me today, happy, sad, confused, proud and emotional!
